GENERAL MEDICINE AND INTENSIVE CARE:

This department has been handling all varieties of medical cases of varying degrees of severity over the past 30 yrs.

As 2 of the 3 medical directors are Physicians the focus has always been on treating medical emergencies such as Acute Coronary Syndromes, Infectious diseases, septicaemias and multi-organ failure, Poisoning, Cerebrovascular accidents, Diabetes and it varied complications etc.

Consequently the patient load in the ICU is predominantly of medical conditions.

The Out patient work also includes conducting Master Health Check ups, Annual and Pre-employment Check ups, Insurance check up, Travel advice etc. The Department also conducts on-site health camps are various institutions and also in schools in the vicinity.

Health lectures are given routinely on Diabetes, Hypertension, Life style modification, Diet and First aid (in schools).
